About

This blog is about our research on human-robot interaction in daily life contexts.

We are 2 ethnographers working for the EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) in Switzerland.
In our current study we follow up 10 families, whether and how they adopt Roomba, an autonomous vacuum cleaner sold by iRobot.

This blog is meant to help us to put down and let grow our thoughts along our project. It gathers opinions that can evolve over time, and should be understood as such. We like to learn through our readers and therefore you are very welcome to post your comments. Learning comes from interaction.
